Upcoming Events

Our Brainstorming Event is meant to be a low-pressure kickoff event where you can meet people, see what's in store for the semester, and get some practice coming up with design ideas. Here's how it works:

You sign up.

We send you a Zoom link.

On September 17 (a Thursday) at 6 PM (Central Time), you show up to the event, and everyone is overjoyed.

We supply some prompts, you supply ideas.

You meet people and decide they're the kind of folks you want to work with for the Innovation Challenge in November (see farther down this page).

We all feel a sense of community and inspiration that carries us through the semester, like an eagle upon a cloud, or at least a gopher on a piece of driftwood.

The Minnovate Industry Readiness Program seeks to equip students with the skills most important and common to engineering fields, recognizing the importance of both technical and non-technical capabilities. Here's how it works:

Held over the course of the spring semester.

Groups meet once a week for 2 hours in the Anderson Student Innovation Lab.

Students are grouped into teams and have the entire semester to design a prototype.

Students receive certification from Anderson Labs on their transcripts.

Students build technical, teamwork, and communication skills in a hands-on project

Program culminates with a final presentation in front of head of Design at Anderson Labs and other program members!
